Calung is a Sundanese musical instrument which is the prototype of the angklung. Unlike the angklung is played by shaken, beating calung way is to hit the rod (wilahan, blades) of the joints (bamboo tubes) are arranged according to titi laras (scales) pentatonic (da-mi-na-ti-la) . Types of bamboo for the manufacture calung mostly made from black bamboo, but some are made from white bamboo.
